2025 Review
2025 was a tough year.
Not just for K&J, and not just for Jason and Kerri personally, but for a lot of people. It felt like a year that tested resilience on many fronts. The Year of the Snake can move on now, we know Chinese New Year is mid-Feb, but we’ll be there soon enough. The Year of the Horse is all about movement, growth and optimism and we could all do with more of that!
This isn’t a post to dwell on hardship. Every business, every person, goes through difficult seasons. And as uncomfortable as it is, those moments are what allow us to truly appreciate the good times when they come. Gratitude only really means something when it’s earned the hard way.
Easier said than done, but it’s a universal truth.

K&J Team
2025 brought changes to the K&J team and to how we work.
Our decision to be a fully remote team, was considered and conscious, as it fully supports our team with flexibility, focus, and trust.
As we head into 2026, we do so stronger than ever. We continue to look for better, smarter ways of working, so we can bring even more value to our projects, our clients, and the wider project teams.
Projects
It’s fair to say that 2025 often felt like the year the world stood still. There was hesitation everywhere, many projects were paused, delayed, or quietly shelved. We did however, continue to work on some incredible projects that will be opening in 2026 and 2027 – watch this space!
2026 already feels different. Conversations are happening again and RFPs are being issued. Momentum is returning. Long may it continue.
Events
Our team attended a brilliant mix of industry events throughout the year, including Hi Design (Halkidiki), W3 (Malaga), HIX, Reconnection, Cruise Ship Interiors (Hamburg) and everyone’s favourite β the NEWH luncheon.
Decorex added a first for Kerri, as she was invited to join a panel discussing “Beautiful on a Budget – who really holds the Power”. A great conversation was had between Procurement Agent, Owner and Designer.
Kerri also had the privilege of attending the House of Commons as part of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme. If you run your own business, she wholeheartedly recommends it – it’s challenging and demanding, but worth it.
In September, K&J hosted our 4th Charity Golf Day. To date, we’ve raised over Β£13,000 for Foal Farm – something we’re immensely proud of. Looking ahead already – 10 September 2026 is one for your diary. And remember, it’s not just for golfers, the farm tour is a wonderful experience to get up close and personal with the animals that we support.
Sorry for the lack of pictures – the K&J Team are in the now people, and get carried away with enjoying the moment, not capturing it!
Looking Ahead
We’re now firmly in the middle of winter – freezing our proverbials off, while back in Kerri’s hometown of Melbourne they’re sweltering in well over 40 degrees. Surely there’s somewhere in between? Preferably with a gorgeous hotelβ¦ suggestions welcome, we’d be happy to do a furniture audit whilst we’re there…
Spring can’t come fast enough. It brings the end of the financial year, fresh reflections, and the best excuse for a proper clear-out (Marie Kondo would approve). Not wishing life away, it goes far too fast as it is – but winter is also a good time to pause and ask: what’s working, what’s not, and what can we be genuinely grateful for.
From everyone at K&J, we wish you a wonderful 2026.
May it bring love, laughter and happiness. And lots of new business for everyone!
