2024 Reflection
It’s the start of a new financial year, and our Finance Director, Tracey is busy closing out and reconciling – bring to a close a year that wasn’t our easiest. It was a tough one, with a few projects put on hold, and not many new ones coming in.
That said, there was still plenty to be proud of. We successfully completed Escapade Silverstone – while not all of the apartments were ready for the Grand Prix, the Clubhouse opened in full, and a few residences were available for viewing. It was a brilliant project to be part of, and Cristina and Kerri worked tirelessly to make everything perfect.
July 2024 also saw the completion of the rebrand of 21 Marriotts to Delta Hotels – one of the biggest projects any procurement agent has undertaken. Managed as one programme with 21 delivery addresses, four designers and each property having its own unique look, it was a complex but hugely rewarding achievement. Louise, our Senior Project Manager, led the project with Tracy, Natalia and Kerri, and together they delivered!
In December, we also celebrated the completion of Marriott Glasgow – a project that had Natalia catching 4am flights and navigating plenty of delayed returns. It was long days and lots of snagging, but worth every effort. The hotel looks fantastic.
Finally, our Founder and Managing Director, Kerri, completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme – a milestone that has brought fresh energy and strategic direction to the team.
K&J Team
December 2024 marked a big step forward for K&J as we made the move to fully remote working from January 2025.
We’d always embraced flexibility – with the team working from home once or twice a week — but when the team expressed a desire for more autonomy, the leadership team listened. With hybrid office attendance not making financial sense, we decided to go all in. It’s been a great transition that supports balance, collaboration and productivity.
We’re currently recruiting a Project Assistant, as 2025 is already shaping up to be a busy year.
February also brought a wonderful piece of personal news – the arrival of baby Kayden, born to Tracy and Warner. Congratulations to the new family, and to big brother Karsten!
Year Ahead
There’s plenty on the horizon for 2025, and it’s looking to be an exciting year.
Claire continues to lead Admiralty Arch, Natalia is working with Louise and Dan on Club Quarters (Trafalgar Square), and with Cristina on Corus (Hyde Park). We’ll be completing the Model Rooms for Novotel (Hammersmith) and Dan will also be on site snagging Marriott Grosvenor Square.
